Infrastructures refer to facilities that provide common conditions and public services to direct production departments and people’s life. They mainly include the following:
● Projects of residential buildings such as residential quarters, villas and apartments
● Projects of commercial buildings such as luxury hotels, shopping malls and office buildings
● Projects of energy and power such as oil, coal, natural gas and electricity
● Projects of transportation and communication such as railways, highways, airways, waterways, roads/bridges, tunnels and ports
● Projects of environmental protection and water conservancy such as reservoirs, dams, sewage treatment and air purification
● Projects of post and communication such as telecommunication, correspondence and information network
The investment in infrastructures was RMB 11,887.8 billion in 2016, an increase of 17.4% over the previous year. Specifically, the investment in water conservancy management sector was 20.4% higher, the investment in public facilities management sector was 22.9% higher, the investment in highway transportation sector was 15.1% higher and the investment in railway transportation sector was 0.2% lower.
